Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is a group of Durham Constabulary police officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) dedicated to serving your community.
We work closely with residents and partners to decide our policing priorities for the area and to solve problems. We detect and prevent crime and disorder and aim to build safer, more cohesive communities.
Issues with off road vehicles causing damage and antisocial behaviour in Teesdale, specifically incidents linked to poaching.

Proactive high visibility patrols in the area by Neghbourhood teams, proactive deployments with specialised equipment including drones. Partnership working under Rurali and intelligence gathering regarding vehicles attending these locations. Identified offenders have been issued with protection notices or appropriate action taken where criminal offences have occurred.

We will continue to work with our Speedwatch volunteers to keep Teesdale’s roads calm. We will also intervened where necessary, stop and removed uninsured or unlicensed drivers to protect responsible road users.
