I have over 20 years’ experience working on the police front line. I worked previously in neighbourhood policing which I thoroughly enjoyed and was passionate about. I am excited to return to this role and I am here to work with our partners and ensure my team are focused on what our priorities are.
I have already witnessed for myself the impact electric and off-road bikes ridden around the streets and the town centre is having on the community. This dangerous, illegal, and anti-social behaviour is something I want our team to combat.
As an Inspector I have my own ethos of Care, Standards and Quality. Ensuring my team show real support and empathy with an excellent level of professional service to the public.
I am the Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant for the North Road, Haughton, Springfield and Red Hall areas. I have worked for Durham Constabulary for nearly 20 years and all my service has been in a uniformed front-line role within both Response and Neighbourhood Teams covering the South of the County and Darlington. I was born in Darlington and still live in the town, so the issues that are affecting you are important to me on both on a personal and professional level. I am also a Public Order Commander and have been deployed all over the UK, this included the disorder that was experienced across the country last summer. I have an excellent team of Police Constables and Police Community Support Officers that are fully committed to reducing crime and Anti-Social behaviour in their dedicated beat areas.
I joined Durham Constabulary in 2007 as Police Community Support Officer where I worked in the north of the county as part of the Neighbourhood Policing Team. During this time, I also covered Durham University as the University Liaison Officer working closely with senior leaders and students alike. I joined as a Police Constable in early 2016 where I again covered the north of county, serving on the front line. I also spent some time covering as the Temporary Sergeant of a Response Team in the East of the county for nearly 2 years. I have also spent over a year in a Volume Crime Team learning the skills of a detective.
I have gained many skills during my service including being an Operational Football Officer (OFO) for the clubs within our force area and across the Northeast. My role as an OFO has taken me around the county to many different force areas, policing the football is a real passion of mine! I joined Darlington Neighbourhood Team in late 2023 and currently cover the North Road area of the Town.
I am a Police Constable with 4 years service, I joined Durham Constabulary in 2021 at the age of 46. I have previously worked as an accountant and ran a family business for over 20 years. I joined the police with the goal of serving as a positive role model within the community and being a approachable figure that individuals can turn to for support and assistance. I believe my life experiences could be valuable to others.
I am the assigned Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) for the North Road Area in Darlington. I have been serving in this role since November 2024, and I am truly committed to supporting our community and making a positive difference in people's lives. I'm always kept busy since the area is quite lively, and lately I've been really enjoying conducting high visibility patrols for Operation Cargo to deter shoplifters.
Please feel free to say 'Hi' if you see me around the North Road and Town Centre area — I appreciate the opportunity to connect and I am always up for a chat.
I've been lucky enough to work in Darlington for over 36 years, and I can honestly say I've loved every minute of it, especially working with so many wonderful people in the community through all my different roles. I've held various positions in Durham Police, like managing the public protection unit as a civilian, and serving as a safer school’s officer for two secondary schools and three primary school. Recently, I took a little detour into an admin role where I learned some new skills, but I’m so happy to be back doing what I love—getting out into the community and meeting new people. It's really given me a fresh sense of energy, and I hope it keeps going for as long as possible! I cover the North Road area of the town, and I am passionate about targeting persons selling illegal products, such as vapes and cigarettes, which can be extremely harmful to our children’s health.
I am a police community support officer, part of the North Road Neighbourhood Policing team covering the Harrogate Hill area of North Road. I have worked as a PCSO along North Road for 4 years. Prior to this, I travelled around the world while working for an Airline.
I decided to become a PCSO in 2021 as I have always loved working in a role that allows me to meet new people whilst providing help and support wherever I can. I am passionate about improving our community and making positive changes.
I’m a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) with 29 years of experience, and I’m currently part of the North Neighbourhood Team here in Darlington. I made the switch from a traffic warden in 2002.
I really enjoy being part of the neighbourhood team because I love connecting with the community and truly care about what they need. I’m passionate about cycling patrols across the town and love getting out and about on my force E-Bike. I'm a big cycling enthusiast outside of work, and I really enjoy taking on endurance challenges for fun! I'm really passionate about keeping all kinds of bikes safe on the roads and genuinely enjoy helping to educate young people about it.
I am also a Unison representative assisting staff with a cross section of issues.
