I am a Police Inspector approaching 25 years’ service. I began my career as a constable on front line response working at Consett, then Stanley before spending many years in pretty much every location with Durham Constabulary. I have worked within the training environment mentoring new recruits to degree standard and spent many shifts as a custody Sergeant before joining Stanley and Consett as the Neighbourhood Inspector in May 2025. I remain extremely enthused and motivated to continue the fabulous work the neighbourhood teams and our dedicated partners do to drive performance, protect, and ensure our communities are a safer and more enjoyable place to live.

I am the Sergeant for Consett Town Centre, Delves Lane, Moorside, The Grove and Castleside. I have been in front line Policing since 2012 and worked in the South and West of the County. I was promoted to Sgt in 2023 and continued to work on Response before getting my post in Neighbourhoods. I have a local affinity to the area, and I have an exceptionally proactive team with a diverse skill set which makes them leading examples in problem solving. I represent the organisation in retail crime with focus on detection and reduction.

I’m the neighbourhood police officer covering Delves Lane, and I am new to the neighbourhood team having just transferring over from front line response policing. I have good local knowledge and will utilise this to keep the local community safe. I am very pro-active so you will no doubt see me out and about looking to prevent crime before it happens, including addressing road safety issues through non-compliant drivers and vehicles.

Hi, I’m the Police Officer responsible for Consett Town Centre. I have recently joined the department from Response and I am enjoying experiencing an alternate side of policing. My passion is in Roads Policing and keeping dangerous criminals off the road. I take great pride in tackling the few, but prolific criminals that plague our communities and doing whatever I can to prevent them from causing further harm to the public.

I have over a decade of experience in policing, beginning my career as a PCSO for seven years before transitioning to a Police Constable Role. For 3 years I served front-line response, where I gained valuable experience handling a wide range of incidents. I am currently the beat officer for Delves Lane and Moorside, a position which I have held for 3 years. I am committed to public service, and bring strong communication skills, local knowledge, and a dedication to community safety to every aspect of my work. When I’m not at work, I’ll either be out for a run or building Lego!

Hi, I am the police officer covering Consett Town Centre. I have recently joined the team after spending the last five years on Response, where I developed strong decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills in fast-paced environments. I am proactive in my approach to policing and passionate about serving the community. I’m looking forward to taking on a new challenge within the Neighbourhood Policing Team and getting fully involved in local problem-solving and engagement.

My names Elliot and I’m a PCSO based at Consett Police Station. Covering The Grove & Moorside. I joined neighbourhoods in November 2023 & I have a strong interest in technology so I am always on hand to help my colleagues and members of the public with anything techy I can help with. I am also a newly qualified emergency response drone pilot giving the team an extra pair of eyes whether its finding a missing person or looking for off road bikes.

I am a PCSO based within the Consett Neighbourhood Policing Team and have been in this role for approximately 12 years spending the whole time covering the Consett area. I am currently responsible for the Town Centre area of Consett which keeps me busy. During my time in Consett I have built up an extensive amount of experience and valuable local knowledge. I have always enjoyed the role working alongside Police Officers and other partner agencies to solve problems and help contribute to making a difference within the community reducing crime and antisocial behaviour.

Hi, I am Laurynn. I have worked for Durham Constabulary for 5 years. For 3 years I was a Youth development apprentice working with children and young people with Durham Agency Against Crime. I am now a PCSO covering the Castleside area of Consett.

I am a PCSO based at Consett which is where I began my policing journey back in 2021. With nearly 4 years in the job, I have gained a range of different skills and experiences over the years and I love being able to help and support members of the community. I am one of the local PCSOs for Consett Town Centre and with past experience of retail, I value the importance of ensuring we do our very best to prevent shoplifting within our local community. Our job role varies and every day is different which is what I love most about the job.

Hi, I’m a police community support officer with 18 months experience under my belt. I cover Delves Lane and the Castleside area, this does not stop me from getting my hands dirty in the other areas of Consett when needed. A fun part of the job for me is how every day is different and the challenges that brings. But for me the part that makes this job amazing is the interaction with the public, local councillors and other agencies to highlight and fix these issues to make the area safer for all.
FUN FACT: If I’m not at work you’ll find me laid on a chair getting tattooed
