England got off to a great World Cup start last night and so did our drink and drug drive campaign.
Whilst Kane was putting balls in the back of the net, our Durham Roads and Armed Policing officers were putting drink and drug drivers in the cells.
Checks also continued this morning with three drivers out of the 90 breathalysed being shocked to find alcohol still in their system after enjoying a drink last night.
Luckily the three men were under the limit but next time they might not be so lucky.
Most drivers blew zero last night.
Drivers who did score an own goal were:
• One drink driver
• One drug driver
• One driver given a Section 59 warning for inconsiderate driving.
Drink and drug driving kills. Don’t risk it.
