Using data to help our communities

This week, an event was held to recognise the work of our Data Office, who have transformed the way the force uses data to manage demand and make more informed decisions for the communities we serve.

Over the past 12 months, our Data Office have designed, developed, and implemented Scout - a trusted tool used by police officers and staff that brings together key information in one place.

By connecting multiple core systems, Scout provides a single, easy-to-use view of data, enabling officers and staff to track performance, manage demand and make evidence-based decisions in real time.

The platform has been developed in partnership with Simpson Associates and represents a significant step forward in how we use data to support operational policing.

The team’s hard work and dedication was recognised this week with an event at HQ, where Chief Constable Rachel Bacon presented colleagues with certificates of commendation.
