Force's most wanted criminals locked up in early morning raids

Rise and shine, it’s the police!

Some of our area’s most wanted criminals are now in police custody following an early morning operation.

Today, officers from across the county came together to take part in Operation Sunrise, targeting our most wanted criminals across County Durham and Darlington.

A total of eight people were arrested during the operation for a number of serious offences, including causing grievous bodily harm, firearms offences, domestic violence, and exploitation.

We will continue to pursue dangerous criminals who try to take advantage where you live.
