Appeal following assault at Consett McDonald’s

Were you in Consett McDonald’s in the early hours of this morning?

We’re appealing for witnesses to an assault which left a man unconscious and another with facial injuries.

The incident happened at around 4.30am today (September 13) at McDonald’s on Ponds Court Business Park.

A man in his twenties was left unconscious by the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is described as stable.

A second man, also in his twenties, suffered cuts to his face and nose.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information that could assist the investigation.
