Tributes paid to father-of-two who died in a collision

The family of a father-of-two who died in a collision at the weekend say they are ‘truly heartbroken.’
Ryan Scarth, of Sherburn Village, died when the car he was driving was involved in a collision on the A1(M) near Durham at around 2.20am on Saturday, August 22.
The 31-year-old sustained critical injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
In a tribute, his family said: “The loss of Ryan has truly broken us as a family.
“Ryan was a son, daddy, brother, uncle, and partner. He lived for his two boys, and his memory will live on through them.
“Ryan has not only left a huge void in our lives but in his friends and the local community too.
“He could walk into a room with his cheeky smile and light it up. We are truly heartbroken. We will love you forever and always.”
Ryan’s family are being supported by specialist officers.
Officers would like to speak to any witnesses, or those who may have dashcam footage of the collision.
