Thanks to vital information from members of the public, officers have made several arrests and uncovered significant quantities of drugs as part of Operation Drive.
On Wednesday (May 21), Ferryhill Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out two warrants in West Cornforth, seizing 422 cannabis plants worth around £120,000 from addresses on Verdun Terrace and Hawthorne Road. The grows have been dismantled, the electricity supply made safe, and investigations are ongoing.
In Sacriston, Chester-le-Street Neighbourhood Policing Team, with help from PD Nala, also recovered drugs during a warrant at an address.
