A smart idea…
PC Smart is investigating after the theft of teenager Hayden’s bike in Newton Aycliffe on Sunday.
The 13-year-old was devastated when his bike was stolen after he popped into a shop that lunchtime, leaving the active youngster without his favourite way of getting to school.
After learning that Hayden wouldn’t be able to ride to school, PC Smart made some calls to the force’s property stores who were able to identify a bike that was due to be disposed of and it was quickly snapped up as a replacement.
PC Smart delivered the bike to Hayden and his mum Jessica sent in this lovely thank you message which she was happy for us to share.
If you have any information to help trace Hayden’s bike, email PC Smart at [email protected]
