Force welcomes 24 new recruits

Last night, (April 9) we welcomed 24 new police officer recruits into the force.

These officers took part in their attestation – a formal declaration made in front of a magistrate, marking the start of their journey with Durham Constabulary.

They received their warrant cards and were officially sworn in as members of our team in front of Chief Constable Rachel Bacon and Durham Police and Crime Commissioner Joy Allen.

We also celebrated 22 officers who successfully completed their two-year Degree Holder Entry Programme in partnership with Northumbria University.

These officers were recognised for their hard work and dedication in front of their family and friends.
