Following reports of burglars operating in our rural communities recently, the Weardale and Crook Neighbourhood Policing Teams came together for a targeted Operation Checkpoint.
Patrols on Wednesday night saw officers team up with our Rurali members who shared their expertise to help stop suspicious vehicles and develop intelligence around specific areas.
More than a dozen vehicles were stopped throughout the night with details checked and we’re happy to report all were in order.
