Man arrested 20 minutes after forcing way into woman's home

Another one off to custody.

It’s 9.39am when a call comes through to our control room.

A woman reports that a man has forced his way into her home, made threats and stolen cash and her phone before running off.

Within moments, our control room team are coordinating the response and deploying specialist teams, including response officers and a drone to the scene.

Just 20 minutes after the initial 999 call, the suspect is identified, located and arrested. All property is returned to the victim.

A 35-year-old man remains in police custody on suspicion of robbery.
