We want to hear your views to help develop a new community safety partnership plan for Darlington.
The existing plan covers the period from 2021 to 2026, and members of Darlington Community Safety Partnership (CSP) are keen to encourage residents, businesses and organisations across the borough to share their views and ideas on what should be included in the new plan.
The partnership is committed to providing a place where people treat each other fairly and with respect, and where they are safe from harm or the effects of crime, disorder and antisocial behaviour.
The plan aims to set out the priorities for the next three years and a consultation has been launched to encourage local people to share their views and help us identify the main issues in their communities.
Chief Superintendent Steve Long, CSP chairman, said: “As chair of the Darlington CSP I invite you to share your views on community safety priorities for Darlington.
“Your voice matters, and your input will help us shape a safer future for the communities of Darlington.”
To find out more and have your say on the new CSP plan visit our website at www.darlington.gov.uk/consultations. The consultation is open now and runs until 24 November.
Paper copies are also available for those who do not have internet access and can be picked up at Darlington libraries in Crown Street and Cockerton.
Darlington Community Safety Partnership is made up of representatives from Darlington Borough Council, Durham Constabulary, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, Health, Probation, Youth Justice, the Durham Police Crime and Victim’s Commissioner, voluntary and community sector organisations. Its overriding aim is to make Darlington a safe place to live, work and visit.
