Officers from Stanley neighbourhood team carried out two warrants at addresses in the town this morning following concerns raised around criminality.
Once inside the first address, officers found around 400 cannabis plants.
A 27-year-old man and a woman, aged 26, were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and child neglect.
The plants will now be destroyed, and an investigation is ongoing.
At the second address, a 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
Enquiries following this warrant are also ongoing.
Officers conducted the warrants as part of Operation Drive, which aims to address community concerns such as antisocial behaviour, shoplifting, drug-related issues, traffic offences, and crime prevention.
Your neighbourhood officers will continue to pursue criminals who try to take advantage where you live.
