A man has been charged following an alleged stabbing in Bishop Auckland.
Officers were called just before 9.30pm on Saturday (June 28) following reports that two men had been stabbed at a pub on Newgate Street.
Both men received hospital treatment for their injuries, which thankfully are not believed to be serious.
A 43-year-old man was arrested by officers and bought into custody for questioning.
He has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court today.
