Our Neighbourhood Policing Teams have been stepping up rural patrols this week for Operation Checkpoint.
Several vehicles were stopped throughout the week with checks carried out, and officers made additional visits to local farms and those in our rural communities.
Thank you to everyone for your cooperation. We’re committed to keeping our rural areas safe and supporting those who live and work here. If you see anything suspicious or need assistance, always call 101 or 999 if the incident is ongoing.
Sergeant Lake said: “Our rural policing patrols are essential in preventing crime, reassuring local communities, and building strong relationships with those in isolated areas.
“By maintaining a visible presence, we deter illegal activity, gather crucial intelligence, and ensure that residents and farmers feel safe and supported.”
