PD Rex catches three suspects following police pursuit

In the early hours of this morning officers spotted a suspicious looking Skoda in the Murton area which failed to stop for police.

After a short pursuit, the occupants abandoned the vehicle on a residential street and ran off from officers.

PD Rex and his handler were on scene within minutes and found two suspects trying to hide in dense woodland. He also tracked a third to a nearby street.

Three people – two men aged 22 and 23, and a woman aged 22 – were arrested and taken into police custody.

The car was recovered, and an investigation is ongoing.
