Further charge following violent disorder in Darlington

A man has been charged following violent disorder in Darlington last week.

Mujmain Uddin, of Greenbank Road, Darlington, has been charged with assault, violent disorder, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

The 21-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Investigations into the disorder which happened last Monday evening (August 5) are ongoing.
