Illegal cigarettes found in Darlington man’s shoe cupboard

That’s exactly what PCs Anwar and White, and PCSOs Flinn and Brown did in Darlington this weekend.
While carrying out high visibility Operation Trailblazer patrols in the early hours of yesterday morning, they came across a suspicious looking man in Gladstone Street.
After some probing questions and further investigation work, they found the man had counterfeit cigarettes and tobacco stored in his shoe cupboard.
The items were seized and an investigation will now be carried out, alongside Darlington Borough Council’s trading standards team.
