Tributes have been paid to a motorcyclist who sadly died following a collision near Easington Village yesterday (June 18).
Colin Ede, 66, was travelling on the A1086 Northbound slip road when he collided with a lamppost just before 3.45pm.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, Mr Ede, of Wingate, was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement Mr Ede’s children Natalie and Richard said: “It is with great sadness that I write this post. Yesterday, our beloved dad, Colin Ede, grandad to Jacob, Isabelle, George and Olivia, partner of Sue, passed away in a road traffic accident, doing what he loved, riding his motorbike. He will be forever in our hearts xx.”
An investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances of the collision.
