A man has appeared in court charged in connection with a firearms incident in Staindrop.
A suspect was arrested in the Cleveland area on Tuesday in connection with the incident in Staindrop on Good Friday and a second firearms incident in Thornaby on April 12.
The arrest follows a joint investigation involving officers from Durham Constabulary and Cleveland Police, with support from the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit and working in close collaboration with the CPS.
The 30-year-old, from Northampton, appeared before Teesside Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with four counts of attempted murder.
He was additionally charged with two counts of possession of a firearm with intent and possession of a prohibited weapon.
