Joint charity ball raises over 3K for good causes

A joint charity ball has helped raise over £3,000 for good causes.

The 2019 Blues and Twos charity ball, which was held at Ramside Hall on Saturday (March 2) was a joint event hosted by Durham Constabulary and County Durham & Darlington Fire & Rescue Service.

Chief Fire Officer Stuart Errington said: “The Blue and Twos Charity Ball is a fantastic event and an excellent opportunity for both services to come together to raise money for two extremely worthy charities. We are absolutely delighted with the amount of money raised this year which will be split equally between both charities and go a long way towards helping these charities help others in need.”

The event raised £3,600 for Durham Agency Against Crime and The Fire Fighters Charity.

Deputy Chief Constable Jo Farrell said: “Thank you to all of those people who dug deep and donated money to two very deserving charities. The money raised is a great demonstration of what we can achieve together.”
