Active Priorities

  • 26 January 2019 - Anti social behaviour

    Reports of anti social behaviour in and around Stanley Front Street. This includes the bus station, Asda, Clearance Bargains and Home Bargains.

    Over recent weeks we have seen a significant rise in calls to the above locations in respect of youths causing annoyance.

    Regular high visibility patrols are now been conducted in this area by both Police and Durham County Council Neighbourhood Wardens. 
     
    A number of youths have already been identified and have been issued with anti-social behaviour warning letters by the Council.
     
    To report an incident please contact 101 (non-emergency number) or dial 999 in an emergency.

    PACT meetings for the coming year will be held at Shield Row Community Centre, Shield Row Gardens, Stanley, DH9 8RF at 18:30hrs on the below dates.

    In addition to the above there is to be a fortnightly drop in session commencing Tuesday 22nd January 2019 between 10am and 11am at The Venue, Wear Road, Stanley. Please feel free to drop in for a chat and to discuss any local issues you may be experiencing.
    Alternatively we will be in Asda 10am till 12 noon on the below dates.
