Active Priorities

  • 01 May 2019 - May
    Parking and speding vehicles.

This is what we have done

  • 01 May 2019 - May
Officers will attend the Leadgate Area Partnership  meeting on 15/05/2019.
Officers have been conducting routine foot patrol in the Leadgate area, attending local shops and Leadgate Primary school. Members of the public have continued to raise concerns around parking on the 'keep clear' lines at the school as well as the behaviour of drivers in the Leadgate area. Officers will continue to patrol the school to discourage parking on the keep clear lines and traffic enforcement will continue to be carried out.

Enforement carried out by Roads Policing Unit in the Leadgate area during April, resulted in positive action being taken against twelve offenders.

Do you care for, or are you the family of an elderly or vulnerable adult who is at risk of going missing?  Have you heard of the Herbert Protocol?
Sign up and work directly with the police and their partners to ensure their safety.  The Herbert Protocol is a scheme which will see family, friends, and care providers working together not only to prevent vulnerable adults going missing but to improve responses for locating them if they do.  The protocol will be running throughout County Durham and Darlington.  When you sign up, we will contact you to discuss the process, suggesting steps to prevent particularly vulnerable people going missing, as well as contingencies for a swift response should the individual fail to return.  To sign up contact 101 or email Herbertprotocol@durham.pnn.police.uk

If any members of the community have any issues or concerns regarding Leadgate please do not hesitate to get in touch with PCSO 8107 Alex Cave by telephoning 101 or emailing alexander.cave2@durham.pnn.police.uk

These are the policing priorities that local people have agreed with your policing team. You can have some influence on future policing priorities by attending your next PACT meeting.
