Salary: Scale 3 £20,118- £21,399 (subject to job evaluation)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Durham Constabulary’s Public Protection Unit as a clerical officer.
You will be working as part of the team who are responsible for the management and monitoring of the most dangerous violent and sexual offenders across the Force area. The role will require you to provide administrative support which will assist in the management of such offenders.
Strong partnership working and the ability to identify and share relevant information is vital in preventing further sexual or violent offending.
Responsibilities will include providing a full range of administration support, inputting and maintaining records and gathering information. The nature of the work is highly sensitive.
You will have strong communication skills with good attention to detail.

The post will be based at Durham City police station.
The successful candidate must be prepared to undertake necessary training in police systems and be willing to undergo the relevant vetting.

Applicants must have 4 GCSEs including English Language or Literature and Mathematics (Grade 9 to 4/A to C) or an approved equivalent. An individual who possesses an equivalent e.g. NVQ must provide evidence of Math’s and English.
