The Chief Constable of Durham says she is looking forward to working with the newly-elected Police and Crime Commissioner.

Joy Allen was today announced as the new PCC for Durham at Spennymoor Leisure Centre, after votes cast in Thursday’s election were counted.

Speaking after the announcement, Jo Farrell, Chief Constable of Durham, said: “I would like to congratulate the newly-elected Police and Crime Commissioner and look forward to working together to deliver effective and efficient policing for the people of County Durham and Darlington.”
