Operation Sledgehammer
SLEDGEHAMMER, is our operation dedicated to tackling organised crime groups in County Durham & Darlington, targeting people who are suspected to be involved in a network of criminal activity. These people may be involved in money laundering, drug related crime, fraud and importation of counterfeit goods.
You can help us by staying alert and being on the lookout for any signs that point to illegal activities. Most of the time, it’s the little things that give these people away. Details only those familiar with the area will notice, like a top of the range car outside a house where none of the family are working. No matter how trivial it seems, it could be the very information we need to make an arrest.
The information you give us could lead to anything from a couple of arrests to the dismantling of an organised crime group resulting in a safer community for you and your family.
So don’t ignore it. Report it!
