Neighbourhood Watch
Neighbourhood Watch is the largest community based voluntary organization in the country. It is a way of developing close liaison between households in a neighbourhood and the local Police.
The aim is to help people protect themselves and their properties by reducing the fear of crime by means of improved house hold security, Encouraging greater vigilance and by fostering a neighbourly and caring spirit among communities. This may include creating a 'neighbourhood watch' which is when neighbours look after each others property when they are away, or to allow access to utility services if the owner can not get time off work.
