Haul of cannabis plants seized
22nd July, 2010
Police in Darlington have seized about 300 cannabis plants at a house in Grey Street in the Albert Hill area of the town this morning.
Officers executed a warrant at the property in the early hours of this morning. The plants range from seed to various stages of growth and some have been cropped.
Sgt Geoff Makepeace said the police action this morning had been made possible following information received from the public.
A 30-year-old man, believed to be local, has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis with intent to supply and has been taken to Darlington police station for questioning.
