Insecure Motor Vehicles broken into in Sedgefield

8th March, 2010

Overnight on Friday 5th March 2010 four vehicles were broken into in Sedgefield Village and property was taken from inside. The vehicles were parked in The Leas, Rectory Row and The Meadows.
It is thought that the four vehicles were left open overnight and that the persons responsible have been targeting cars that have been left insecure.

Other vehicles that have been broken into in recent weeks were parked in Hasledon Grove, Mitford Court and North Park Road. There was no sign of forced entry therefore it would appear that the vehicles were left open overnight.

Officers are urging members of the people to ensure that their vehicles are locked and secured when parked, making sure that all valuable property where possible is removed.
