Bus driver in fatal crash was father of three

Police have now named the bus driver who died in the collision near Chester-le-Street yesterday afternoon.
He was Gordon George HUTCHINSON, aged 58 from Lowther Avenue in the town.
Mr Hutchinson, who was known by his first name was married with three adult sons all of whom are in their thirties. He was the driver of a Classic Coaches bus which collided with a 70-seater coach in North View, Newfield shortly after 4pm on Wednesday.
The 50-year-old driver of the coach, which belonged to Nightingale Coaches of Stanley, remains in a critical condition in Newcastle General Hospital.
