How can I make a complaint about the conduct of a person serving with the police?
There are several ways to make a complaint to Durham Constabulary.
In Person
You can complain in person at your local station, or any other station within the Force area. A police officer or memeber of police staff will speak to you about your complaint and will explain your options. If you have a disability that restricts your ability to attend a local station through telephone contact an appriopriate officer will attend your home address, or you can report the matter in either of the methods below.
Third Party
Other persons can make complaints on your behalf, as long as they have your written authority to do so, e.g. Solicitor, family member, Citizens Advice Bureau.
