Business Continuity Plans
A Business Continuity Plan is a document outlining a framework for the whole organisation in response to an interruption.
There are a number of ways in which a business can produce an effective Business Continuity Plan, whether produced in-house, using external consultants or a combination of these. Each method and detail will depend upon the organisation's type and size.
Some issues to consider for inclusion in a Business Continuity Plan:
- Management of Interruption
- Activation
- Roles and responsibilities
- Critical business functions
- Accommodation and relocation
- Communications
- Salvage
The Business Continuity information pack provides guidance on how a Business Continuity Plan can be developed and the stages that may be involved.
