Neighbourhood Profile
Centred on a hill top between Chester-le-Street and Consett, Stanley is the second largest town in Derwentside.
This policing area covers the town centre of Stanley and the adjacent mining villages of East Stanley and South Stanley, which are now all referred to as one town.
The area has a Local Strategic Partnership which focuses closely on crime and disorder issues and is underpinned by the Derwentside Community Safety Partnership.

10am to 5pm - Monday to Friday
Outside these hours an intercom system and CCTV facility is available to link callers to the Communications Centre.

Your Neighbourhood Inspector
My name is Karen Naunton and I am the Neighbourhood Inspector for the Stanley area. My aim is to work together with the community and partner organisations to make Stanley a safer, more secure and confident community. I am based at the main police station at Stanley where I manage the day-to-day policing of our neighbourhood.
