Publication Scheme

The Publication Scheme is designed to inform members of the public of the classes of information that Durham Constabulary publishes or intends to publish, the format and manner in which the information is published and whether a charge is made for the information.

Publication Schemes are intended to encourage organisations to publish more information pro-actively before a request is made and to develop a greater culture of openness.

As of 1st January 2009 the Information Commissioner has introduced a new model Publication Scheme that applies to all public authorities. The scheme can be found on the Commissioner's website.
