Charlie and his team’s role is to provide a press function for Durham Constabulary which operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
The key areas of work for Charlie’s team are:
- Dealing with all areas of the media on a daily basis
- Giving advice and guidance on media matters to officers of all ranks and staff
- Having an input into training
- Writing and producing the force newspaper
- Providing an after hours and weekend on-call service
- Monitoring media coverage
