Ian and his team co-ordinate and manage corporate projects within the force.  They ensure that projects deliver improved services and are within budget and on time. The force has 4 programme boards which manage the delivery of corporate projects:

Organisational Development Programme Board

The Organisational Development Board focuses on 3 areas of change:

The aim of this board is to ensure the organisation responds to new issues and challenges, which come from the police reform agenda.

Service Support & Infrastructure Programme Board

This board aims to provide the business support systems needed to deliver an improved and effective service, while using all available financial resources.

Service Delivery Programme Board

This board supports continuous improvements in quality, accessibility and responsiveness of service delivery. These improvements should be in line with the needs and expectations of citizens and communities, and inspire confidence in local policing.

The board works towards ensuring “we have the right people, at the right places, in the right numbers, in order to create neighbourhoods that are safe and feel safe”, ACC Michael Banks.

New Facilities Programme Board

The board is responsible for delivering the actions outlined in the Police Authority Estate Strategy. It aims to deliver fit for purpose, modern buildings including, custody facilities which meet the national standards outlined in the Safer Detention Guidelines .
There are 16 projects currently being dealt with at this board. More information is available from the major projects pages.
