Contacting Durham Constabulary

Durham Constabulary provides a 24-hour service to the communities of County Durham and Darlington.

We handle almost 1 million calls and 220,00 incidents per year.

The current communication's structure was introduced in April 2004 and since then we have made many changes to improve our service. We have set standards and our staff will always try to achieve them. The time of greatest demand on our services tends to be during the evening, therefore you may wait longer for a response.

This guide outlines those standards and gives general advice about contacting us.

Putting Things Right
