About Us
Durham Constabulary is responsible for policing County Durham and Darlington, covering an area of 860 square miles with a population of 611,000 people.
Police headquarters are at Aykley Heads, Durham, and there are police stations throughout County Durham and Darlington.
The force is led by Chief Constable Jon Stoddart and his Executive Team. Policing is provided through a number of functional commands: Tasking and Co-ordination, Crime and Justice, Response Policing, Neighbourhood Policing, and Support Services.
