Thanks to the BikeWise Training team for a great day out. I learnt a lot in just one day to improve my riding and road safety awareness.I would recommend this training day to everyone, doesn't matter how long you have been riding.

Just like to thank Mick for a cracking day yesterday. The BikeWise training course was brilliant, I thought I was doing alright recently having just passed my test but the skills and techniques myself and Nick were taught throughout the day have improved my safety, confidence and overall enjoyment! What more can you ask for!! Along side having an enjoyable informative day out we were shown a few real previous accident situations which just further helped the safety incentive of the course. I would and will be recommending the Bikewise training course to anybody (suppose it would be handy if they were bikers)

I would like to add my congratulations to the team for the deserved award. I with trepidation posted a comment on the MCN (Motor cycle news) web site praising the efforts of the team, fully expecting the usual narrow minded responses but was pleasantly surprised that all follow up comments were of a very positive nature, so well done to all concerned.

Congratulations to the BikeWise team and Durham police motorcyclists for being presented with this prestigious award. I am a retired police motorcycle Sgt from a different force area but spent many happy times visiting the Durham section over the years. This shows what can be achieved by a motorcycle section that is allowed to put all it's efforts into motorcyle issues. Well done!

I cannot emphasise strongly enough how valuable the days Bikewise training has been. Riding out with highly experienced instructors who are passionate about motorcycling has raised my game and opened my eyes; regardless of your age or experience you will find that the training ensures you are better equipped to deal with whatever the road conditions or situation throws at you with increased competence and confidence. Thanks Bob, a fantastic day out. Congratulations to Durham Police and DCC for taking such a constructive, positive and enjoyable approach to road safety and education.

Thanks very much to Mick for a superb days training yesterday. As a new rider it was absolutely invaluable. I think it should be compulsory. It was like having my eyes opened! Anyone can benefit from bikewise training ,but if you are fairly new, it's a no brainer-you must do it. A terrific day on lovely roads. I came away feeling as though I'd learnt loads. Great stuff. Thanks for a great day out Mick (I am sure David Bailey has nothing to be worried about). If all of your students get as much from a day out with you as I did, then there will be a lot more safer bikers on the roads. Cheers Bert

This was the first we'd been to it and we thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, it inspired my wife to get on the pillion of a bike for the first time in her life - while there we bought her a helmet, jacket and gloves and the following weekend I bought a Goldwing so that she could enjoy some comfort pillion riding!

If you haven't done BikeWise training, you must! Riding coaches Bob and Mick are great fun, incredibly knowledgeable and able to share their knowledge in an articulate and understandable way. They are passionate about biking, and their enthusiasm guarantees a good days riding on some stunning roads. I learnt a lot, definitely improved my riding, and best of all had a fantastic time doing it! Thanks guys!

I have been trying to find out the details of the Christmas motorbike run in Cleveland where the riders raise sponsor money and dress up as Santa. I cannot find any details anywhere about it. Can anyone help? THE SANTA CLAUSE RUN WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY THE 19th DECEMBER DETAILS WILL FOLLOW IN THE EVENTS SECTION CLOSER TO THE TIME.

This year (2009) was my second BikeWise and on both occasions one might think that every biker in the north of England was there, looking at the number of bikes parked up. The formula must be right for families too; there was no shortage of parked cars. At 63yro when I learnt to ride I expected to find the emergency services anti bikers. BikeWise is a demonstration of the opposite PROVIDED we learn to ride safely. In my view BikeWise is the start of that. Also it was great to see young kids wearing 'cops' hats , sat in police cars and flashing the blues. How better to win them over for support. I came away with oudles of information and tips; even some smart water to mark my bike and other valuables. Do please keep up the great work, Roger Jones

This was my first BikeWise event and it won't be the last, We travelled all the way from Dryburn Park (Just Around the corner) and the Entrance fee of £2:00 pounds meant it was excellent value for money, there was something for all ages, rides, stunts, bike, dog shows and much much more, thanks to organisors for a great day out! we will be back next year. All that remains is for me to book my BikeWise training. Steve.

Completed BikeWise training yesterday, what a great informative and helpful day, I now have the ability to see hazards I was completely oblivious too before, reading the roads and road positioning makes so much more sense :) Highly recommended for riders of any ability.

Thanks for a good show I really enjoyed it. Dave Coates was brilliant as were the other shows and stands. It was only two pound to get in which is fantastic there are not many events or places which are so cheap to get into, I cant think of any. Keep up the good work I hope its on next year. Thank you very very much.
