Easter Egg Run 2005
Durham Police's first Easter Egg Run was held on Sunday 27th March 2005.
The event started at Tesco's, Durham & the wet weather failed to dampen spirits with hundred's of motorcyclists /Easter eggs turning up.
The ride took us to the hospitals at Darlington, Bishop Auckland & Durham where children's wards were visited & thousands of calorie's worth of chocolate was left with smiling happy faces ( & that was just the staff)
We all then rode back in convoy to the Police HQ at Aykley Heads, Durham where riders & pillion passengers enjoyed a warm cuppa & then had time to talk about the event & also the issues of motorcycle crime & casualty reduction.
